FAQs

What trades do you quote for?

We quote for Block Layers, Builders, Carpenters, Fencing Contractors, Flooring Contractors, Ground Workers, Landscape Gardeners, Painters and Decorators, Plumbers, Property Maintenance Contractors and many other Allied Trades.

Do you require a Proposal Form?

We require an online Statement of Fact to be fully completed, which you will find here. If you require a blank form to send to your clients, please contact us on [email protected].

The Statement of Fact is quite detailed, do you need all of this information to quote?

Yes – our underwriters are not in a position to quote unless they have all of the information completed. Many of the questions are Yes/No answers so this should not take too long to complete.

Do we need to give examples of 3 contracts on the Statement of Fact?

Yes – please provide details of the Insured’s last 3 contracts the Insured has been involved in. It gives the underwriter a greater understanding of the risk.

What are your height and depth limits?

Our height and depth limits are flexible.

Can you offer a quote for a start-up company?

Yes we can – subject to full details and information on the Insured’s past experience in the trade.

Why do you ask for the date the Insured last updated their safety statement?

Underwriters require this date to bind the Policy. It is a legal requirement for the Insured to have an updated safety statement and by providing this date it confirms to the underwriter the Insured is adhering to this requirement.

Do you quote for risks who have had claims in the past 5 years?

Yes, subject to full details of the claim and a verified claims experience.
